I give an X

Predicted to be one of the closest elections in British history, Pentagram partners Naresh Ramchandani and Marina Willer created ‘I give an X’, an anti-apathy campaign for the 2015 UK general election, encouraging people to head to the polls.

The brief was to create a responsive website for the non-partisan, online campaign where people could download one of over 80 Xs to use as their profile picture, a mark to show they’ve registered to vote.

In the run up to the election, the site featured new Xs submitted by designers, illustrators and proud voters including Sara Fanelli, Kate Moross, Paula Scher and Spin; and led to thousands of people changing their profile pictures.
